Queen’s Wood 21.09.26

The group started early, brushcutting grass between the tree saplings in the fairly recently planted “Queen’s Wood”. Areas with Yellow Toadflax and other wild flowers were marked and left uncut for seeds to spread for another year. Cutting was followed up with raking the grass up and removing it on drag sheets to the edge of the wood as habitat piles for small vertebrates and possibly reptiles.

Heather thanked the members for all their clearing activity.
