Jim, in waders, netted the stream several times to find water creatures. Alistair transferred these to a large container and identified different creatures to a compartmented container for counting by the group. The species included small fish, shrimp, water fleas etc. (full list attached) The flora on the site were identified by Sue and others. The most common was the Bulbous Buttercup and the rarest was the Heath Milkwort. The large number of rabbits on the grassland was thought to be a determining factor in the species of flowers and their distribution.
