Natural England, Warden Nathan instructed us to cut down Rhododendrons in an area of Pine trees adjacent to the main A149 road. We were to leave a strip uncut immediately beside the road to protect from traffic pollution. All the cut branches were then placed on a fire, managed by the NE staff and volunteers, and they burned rapidly. Nathan thanked the volunteers for their enthusiasm this morning.
