The cutting and raking task was quite “light” work today due to the dryness of the grasses following 3 heatwaves and no rain.
Overhanging branches of Lime Trees leading to the church were cut back as were some of the nettles by the car park gate, leaving some for Moths and Butterflies. An abandoned nest with several eggs was found on the ground, possibly Pheasant or Partridge. David amused everyone with his home made shin pads, used when strimming, which both said this way up!
An early finish but a very sociable morning.
