The group was tasked with planting seven more Horse Chestnut trees in The Walks. The Indian Horse Chestnut (Aesculus indica), more resistant to Leaf Miner, had been chosen. On the Island a further group tidied up mature trees and suckers. Trees top-heavy with Ivy had the ivy cut low down to stop further growth. The team were regaled by the song of Great Tit, Robin, Wren and even Nuthatch during the morning.
The volunteers were thanked by The Walks Rangers.
