A chilly but sunny morning the volunteer team met in The Walks near the bandstand.
The park rangers were also available to work with us today and directed us to clear the far end of the island.
Previously the group had cleared the near end. We were to cut down suckers and Brambles and create habitat piles with the brash.
Ash saplings and Elder along the edge of the water so their roots supported the bank.
The rangers cut back Willow that was overhanging the river and at the end thanked the volunteers for their work.
