Report for Syderstone Common 23.06.25
NWT warden Anne, led a walk around NWT Syderstone Common. It is the site of rare Natterjack Toads, and conservation work to restore, create and maintain ponds is proving successful. The group were able to see minute Toadlets and tadpoles in and around the ponds. Gorse has been cut back to allow open Heathland to thrive for other reptiles. The area is surrounded by many Oak trees, which themselves are seeding! The group thanked Anne for the interesting visit.
