Volunteers met in the West Car park at Roydon Common for a short walk organised by Brian. The group walked over the field, through a path between Brambles, flowering Hawthorn and Gorse onto the Common covered in Heather. They followed the sandy path to Sandy Lane and walked uphill until they crossed the style back on to the high area of the Common and walked back on grassland with several oak trees. In the field at the top of the hill, a sky lark was seen and heard.. The group made their way back to the car park with a fabulous vista across the Common.
